I Want More
This is the opening production number for a musical that I work on off and on, tentatively titled, "Greed", which at the moment is a musical version of A Christmas Carol. (Another musical version of that show??? No, don't do it!!!) Chillax folks, it is just something that I can use to bind some songs together and keep writing others. I doubt if it will be something I will actually produce. But you never know! lol Anyway, the working lyrics as a little girl enters the stage with her mother, "I want a yellow balloon, make it red, and a purple one too, I want more, give me more, give me all that I want, Mommy, Pleeeease." And then someone else enters with his overlap...perhaps a "shiny new car..." and with all sorts of overlaps and other melodies that you will hear played...but everything continues, much like my Soph Show song called, "What Do They Expect of Me?". Scrooge himself would be the final personae, with his desire for gold/money/etc.
